Lions Insurance

Effective from 1st January 2025, it will be necessary for all enquiries regarding your insurance policies to be directed to the Brokers. AB Phillips has set up a dedicated Lions Service Team to attend to your needs as necessary.

Instead of emailing or telephoning the Lions Insurance Consultant, it will be necessary to contact:

AB Phillips Pty Ltd – Insurance Brokers
Mail: 445 Warrigal Road, Moorabbin Vic 3189
PO: P O Box 832, Moorabbin Vic 3189
Phone: 1300 242 136
ABN: 91 007 075 934
AFSL: 234457

E-mail: lionsinsurance@abphillips.com.au
Website: www.abphillips.com.au

The Brokers are set up to handle your requirements like you have been used to. Their Service team consists of several specialists who will be able to respond to your enquiry promptly.

Email enquiries are the preferred method of contact, and ensuring that the details you wish to discuss with the Brokers are all down “on paper” reduces the chances of misunderstanding something said over the phone. However, phone contact can also be made if necessary.

The Lions Service Team will handle all the usual enquiries that have been previously placed through the Lions Insurance Consultant, particularly:

  • Public Liability Certificates:
    • The standard versions are, as always, available on the Lions Insurance website at lionsclubs.org.au/members/resources/insurance_centre
    • Named Insured versions – where a Council or other organisation requires their name shown as an additional named insured, the Brokers will arrange this for you. Simply email your requirements, showing the full details of the named party, and the Certificates will be forwarded to you. Please request these Certificates at least 10 days before your event.
  • New Policies/Endorsements: Email the Lions Service Team your requirements, and a quote or cover note will be provided.
  • Claims: The Lions Service Team will handle all claims and direct them to the Claims Departments of the respective insurers. Claim forms will remain available for downloading on the Lions Insurance website.
  • Travel Insurance: Currently, there is no facility for Travel Insurance, as had been the case before the outbreak of COVID. AB Phillips is looking into possibly recommencing this facility in the future. If something can be arranged for Lions, Clubs and members will be advised as soon as details come to hand.

Importantly, your Lions Insurance, Risk Management   & Child Safe Committee will remain available to Clubs where needed. A revised Summary of Lions Insurances is attached to this email, and contact details for the Committee are shown on page 1 of this document.

Please remember that this Committee also covers both Risk Management and Child Safe issues, and there are two very knowledgeable members of the Committee, PDG Paul Cairnduff and PDG Donna Hedges, who are there to help you. Please make use of them as needed.
