Lions Youth of the Year (YOTY) is a long-standing Lions Clubs International leadership development programme for young Australians. It recognises senior secondary students who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, leadership potential and strong communication skills.
Participants are assessed through interviews, impromptu speaking and prepared public speaking. The programme builds confidence, personal growth and civic awareness while providing valuable experience for future study and careers.
The National Finals will be held in Adelaide on Monday 25 May 2026, where state and district winners compete for the national title and celebrate youth leadership across Australia.
