"The biggest benefit has been the relationships and lifelong friendships."
Leo Clubs are the youth arm of Lions Clubs International — a global community of young people who realise the power of taking action. Through service to their communities, Leos make the world a better place and find their own lives improved in the process.
Leos by the numbers
Two types of Leo club
Alpha Leo Clubs
For secondary school-aged young people. Alpha clubs are often school-based, with a Lions Club Advisor and sometimes a school staff member to assist. They focus on local community service, environmental projects, and youth leadership development.
Omega Leo Clubs
For young adults aged 18 to 30. Omega clubs take on more independent service projects and play an important role in shaping the future direction of the Lions organisation — giving Lions a direct window into the priorities of the next generation.
What Leos do
Community service
Environmental projects, supporting those in need, and hands-on local initiatives alongside their sponsoring Lions club.
Leadership development
Building real-world skills in organising, communication, teamwork, and decision-making — experience that lasts a lifetime.
Social connection
Leos are also about being social and having fun. The friendships formed in a Leo club are often among the most lasting.
Fundraising
Leos raise funds for community causes, supporting their local Lions club projects and running their own initiatives.
Global connection
As part of Lions International, Leos connect with a worldwide network of young people united by a commitment to service.
Voice for youth
Leos help Lions understand the needs, values, and aspirations of young people — shaping the organisation's future.
As the youngest members of the Lions organisation, Leos are devoted young people who realise the power of action. Through service to their community, they make the world a better place and find their own lives improved too.
