Peace Poster Contest
The Lions International Peace Poster Contest is an annual art competition encouraging young people aged 11–13 to express their vision of peace through creativity. Lions clubs sponsor the contest in local schools and youth groups, giving young people the chance to be recognised at local, district, and international levels.

Contest details
Eligibility
- Children aged 11, 12, or 13
- Age is as of 15 November in the contest year
- Sponsored through a Lions club in a school or youth group
- One entry per participant per year
Artwork requirements
- Size: minimum 33 × 50 cm, maximum 50 × 60 cm
- Any medium — drawing, painting, mixed media
- Digitally created art is not accepted
- Do not mat, frame, or laminate
- Chalk, charcoal and pastel must be sealed with fixative spray
Judging criteria
- Originality
- Artistic merit
- Expression of the theme
Prizes
- Grand Prize: US$5,000 + trip to award ceremony at the United Nations
- Up to 23 merit awards: US$500 each
- Winning posters displayed at LCI Convention worldwide
- Certificates for all participants
Ordering a contest kit
One kit is required for each contest sponsored. Kits contain all the materials needed to run the contest in a school or youth group, including rules, promotional material, and participant certificates.
★ Peace Essay Contest — for visually impaired young people
The Peace Essay Contest runs alongside the Peace Poster Contest and is designed specifically to give visually impaired young people aged 11–13 the opportunity to express their vision of peace. One grand prize winner receives US$5,000.
