National Upcycling Day, observed on 24 June, promotes creative reuse of unwanted or discarded items by transforming them into something of higher value or purpose. Unlike recycling, which breaks materials down, upcycling preserves and enhances them. The day encourages sustainability, waste reduction, resource conservation and innovative thinking in households, schools and communities.
